As it’s summertime and we have visitors with young children staying with us (from Taiwan) for a few days we’ve been doing a little “showing around”. Yesterday we wanted to show them the Grand River.
There are many places in Kitchener Waterloo to walk along the Grand River. One of them is Kaufman Flats. It’s off University Avenue, just north of Lexington on the right hand side (traveling north). There is a lot of parking at the bottom of the hill.
The trail itself is 550 meters long, so round trip is just over a kilometer. It’s flat, well maintained and scenic.
