Empire Theatre opens in Kitchener Waterloo’s Boardwalk

due dateEventually, everything comes back around again – big nerdy eyeglasses, real ice cream, muscle cars, wide neckties, hush puppies (all fashion get recycled really), mustaches (currently), music from the 1970’s, movie remakes… and when it comes around the second time, it’s even better than the first time. Better and different, like it’s been taken apart and rebuilt using today’s technology.

Speaking of movie remakes, what about movie theatre remakes?  The new Empire Theatre opened this weekend in Kitchener Waterloo. It’s in “the Boardwalk” shopping and event complex off Ira Needles Boulevard. The Empire Theatre takes us back to when theatres were part of the event: rich, plush, big, the living room of the city. The Empire boasts 10 screens and can seat 1800 people in total.

If you’re looking for something to do in Kitchener Waterloo, there’s a new experience waiting for you.
