Brigadoon Public SchoolBrigadoon Public School is located at 415 Caryndale Drive in Kitchener. The school opened in 1992 and has about 500 students ranging from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Six. There is a YMCA daycare facility attached to the school.

The school motto is “Building Bridges to the Future” and believes in a strong partnership with parents and the community and strives to build solid academic foundations and well-rounded young people. The students move on to Doon Public School for grades 7 and 8, and secondary school at Huron Heights Secondary School.

Brigadoon offers programs in English, with Core French, as well as a partial French Immersion program in grades 1-6.

The School currently ranks among the top 20 schools in the Waterloo Region District School Board and is in the top 5 schools in Kitchener.

Neighbourhood demographic information 

This Neighborhood is made up predominately of married couples 40-54 years old with children and teenagers. Many have pets. They are employed in the finance and insurance business or are employed in such vocations as contractors or nurses. Home is their palace and they tend to spend time and money on maintenance, utilities, tending gardens and fixing their vehicles. They work hard but play hard and they save for their future.

 

Recent real estate sales activity

Within 500 meters of the school, last year there were 16 houses sold ranging in value $268,000-$587,000. The average price was about $408,000 with a standard deviation of about $97,000.
