A lot to offer in Lakeshore North
I was out with some new clients last night and over peppermint tea and a big map, we were talking about up and coming neighbourhoods. I mentioned Lakeshore North as a neighbourhood that I like (especially the south-east corner) and my client voiced a question that I’ve asked myself on several occasions.
“Where’s the lake?”
I suppose that would be the Laurel Creek Reservoir or maybe Columbia Lake, which is further afield, but irregardless of neighbourhood naming practices that often make no sense at all, let’s get to the point.
The neighbourhood of Lakeshore North is transitioning well.
It is a neighbourhood established in the late 60s and built up into the 70s so the trees are mature and the houses tend to be side splits and back splits on large lots.
The neighbourhood is in a great location in terms of touching the LRT line at the Northfield Landing Station and easy access to the Expressway.
And with the Conestoga Mall, a big new Sobeys, St Jacobs Farmer’s Market and the outlet mall (and Walmart), theres lots of shopping.
Finally, the west side of Lakeshore North is where you can access the Laurel Creek Conservation Area for summer activities like picnics and water sports and winter activities like cross county skiing.
All-in-all, Lakeshore North has a lot to offer.
