Brigadoon, Huron Park and Pioneer Park

Huron Park, Pioneer Park and Brigadoon in Kitchener’s south end

Bordered by Homer Watson Boulevard, Huron Road, Fischer-Hallman Road and New Dundee Road in Kitchener’s southern suburbs are three neighbourhoods (generally): Huron Park, Pioneer Park and Brigadoon. This mixture of communities is aged from the early 1970’s (side splits, raised bungalows…on large lots) to brand new and recently built two storeys and townhouses.

The area itself is interesting with rolling hills, natural, forested and agricultural areas, cut-de-sacs and crescents with upper middle income suburban homes. There is lots of parkland, trails, creeks and woods.

There is quick access to Kitchener and Waterloo city centres and to the 401 by the main thoroughfares that surround the neighbourhood

Huron Natural Area is one of the newest parks in Waterloo Region. The conservation area includes ponds, creeks and an network of paths and trails popular in all seasons for walking, biking, bird watching, and cross country skiing.
